Absolute terror is a browser based games, based on the Neon Genesis Evangelion cartoon series. A great series, and this is a great browser game if you're a fan of turn based battlefields.

Absolute Terror is a graphical game, the battlefields are all the areas from the cartoon, tokyo-1 city centre, lake ashi north and south, and even the Nerv cage and the geofront.

You play the game by first choosing a faction and a starting unit. You can choose to join the angels and trash the city. You can join nerv and fight using the eva's. Or you can join seele, the third faction, who have vehicles, the eva mass production model and the jet alone, a unit that can explode causing heavy damage.

you start with 1 unit from your faction, but as you gain exp, you gain more. Heres my squad list

Below is a picture of my unit mechanicalman a nerv unit, the red outlined square is his position, the pink thing is an angel(giant monster). All the red blocks are buildings destoyed by angels. They get some exp for trashing things.



If you like turn based games, if you like browser games, keep playing and your squad list will fill. As it fills the tactical possibilites open up.*edit* I should mention, that by turn based, i mean it uses an action point system like the urban dead. But if you do meet someone who appears to be moving each, that just means you're both online at the same time, using your action points simultaneously.

All i can say is give it a whirl.

This seems like a merge between Evagelion and Battletech (pen and paper maps). Might give it a go to check it out :P
