I'm looking for a MMORPG that give players levels purely based on chance, no adding stat points, and no prefixed stat-ups. Other preferences include anime style graphics, and lots of customization(appearance and Jobs). The random thing is what I am looking for the most. Do not suggest Maplestory its the only mmo I played that has a random system, but it doesn't really, and its too simplistic for me. So please help, I am an old rpg gamer, and looking for a nice rpg that doesn't deviate from the rpg part too.

Alright, thought it was. Got any mmorpg suggestions? Please?. Also I don't mean completely random, slightly influenced by your class but still random enough to rob you out of a level, or have a great level up. Nothing were your stats start the same. Random like 90% of rpgs in the early 90s lol.

i would say just play a few that catch your attention.
graphics are nothing without good gameplay.

I've played plenty, thank you, graphics mean practically nothing to me. All I need is a good RNG and a nice job system and I'm set for life.
Fact is for distrubing is stats is boring, its a chore, it supposed be for freedom but imo its just a waste. Job Sytems knows thats true freedom.

i think hes talking about how u can re-roll ur stats when making a char in maplestory as his "random stats"

For a moment I thought u we're looking for a random lvl up ot the type "oh! I've tripped on a root, smashed my face into a rock and now I've gained 3 levels"... scary thought if something like this really exists...

Anyway, I think you're looking for a dice roll every time you level up, like D&D rules (possible 3rd generation)... I think last game I've played something like this was TOEE (temple of elemental evil) and it was single player for PC (rules 2.5 D&D). I don't know if Neverwinter Nights has an online community (still in my "have to try" list) but why don't u take a shot at it?

I don't really want the D&D system. As a matter of fact, I'm against any rpg made by americans, they just don't know what their doing. All want is game where,example-I get 7-18 points of health instead of straightforward 10, D&D confuses me anyway. Please find me a JMMORPG. Basically any game thats-1.made in japan, 2.lot of classes, 3.trashes the preditermined leveling system, stats gained on a level are randomly distributed based slightly on class, but mainly on luck.
