i think this is a british inspired plot to get canadian agitators to infiltrate the US and spread hostility and civil war so that once the dust settles canada can just march in take over the whole show then convert back to being part of the commonwealth.

lol each state wouldnt be against eachother, it would be like team vs team stuff not FFA. but yeah if it were FFA id say california / flordia / ohio
if it were team vs team like id have to go with the west coast being the victor

Are you serious? If it were coast vs coast, east coast would DEFINITELY win. There's only about 3 states along the west coast and about 12 along the east coast.

The problem that I'm seeing with many of the posts is that most people are basing their statements off the stereotypes of the people who live in each state. Saying that we would be in such a situation would be based off the resources that each state has.

The West Coasts scenario would probably be that Arizona, Wahington, Oregon, and many states in the mid-west would band with California, considering Calfironia has most of the finnancial and military power in the area. Like many people have said Texas would probably directly go to war with California since it has many important military bases and has a lot of the country's oil. One advantage California has is the fact that it recieves many imports from Asia and I think a third of our imports alltogether.


Since Florida recieves many imports from Europe and South America it would become the dominant power in the Southeast, and is probably strong enough to ally with many of the southern states east of Texas. Florida also has enough Naval power to move into the Gulf of Mexico and bombard Texas' military power in the area.

Like most have said, New York would obviously become the power to beat int the Northeast and would band with all of the New England states as well as Virginia, West Virginia, and possibly the Great Lake states. (although there would probably be warfare between them, should Canada support the Great Lakes and make it harder for New York to take over) Now the terrortories that would theoreticaly be controlled by New York would have receive most of the imports we get from Europe as well as obtaining a large percentage of the United State's industrial power.

Within this scenario there is also the possibility that European countries may come to support The New York Territories and that Asian countries may attempt to support California. Now if this scenario was to actually happen, I personaly beleive that California would be able to defeat Texas and Florida, and possibly New York since California would have the most resources.
