Welcome! I've decided to make an RP out of a vague story image in my head (based on Tales Of Innocence, sorta). Here's the storyline I'm thinking of....

100 years ago, a war raged between the armies of the country of Aethis, and an ancient race of mages known as the "Magi". This war ravaged the land, the Magi destroying everything in their path. Until a hero appeared and defeated the Magi, bringing peace to the people of Aethis. 100 years later, people with magical abilities are being born, even though their parents have no Magi blood in them. The king fears these people, and has begun rounding them up, subjecting them to cruel torture, or execution. You are one of these people with magical powers, constantly on the run from the armies of Aethis....

The RP will start in the Holy Capital of Aethis, and will eventually branch out from there. I'll think of plot twists and such as the story moves along. I'll be controlling my character, plus any NPC's you come across on your journey.

Name: Algus Zeredit
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Occupation: Scholar/Musician
Appearance: About 6'1" in height, with a slender build. The long hours spent indoors studying or putting together music pieces have made his skin rather pale, but his piercing blue eues and jet black hair even out his complexion. He usually wears a white silk cloak along with red cloth boots and a pair of chestnut brown, fingerless gloves.
Weapon: Algus weilds three different weapons; a Dagger used to fend off enemies that get too close to him, an elemental Grimoire, which improves the power of his spells by improving his concentration, and a beautiful bronze harp with silk strings that he uses for playing music.

Spells:
Fireball - A simple spell that launches three balls of fire at an enemy.
Frigid Damsel - Summons an Avatar of Ice to attack an enemy. Has a chance to freeze the target for a few seconds.
Tempest - Summons a wind tempest that ravages the area around the target.
Demon's Lance - Summons spears of darkness to rain down upon all enemies
Fortune's Arc - A powerful spell that conjures a large crucifix, damaging all enemies within range. Algus rarely uses this spell.
Healing Breeze - Conjures a soothing breeze that heals the wounds of all allies in range
Skills:
Angelic Melody - Plays a calming melody on the harp, enhancing defensive capabilities of all allies
Requiem of Rage - Enrages all allies, enhancing their physical capabilities
Azure Storm - A flurry of slashes from his dagger, followed by a large blue shockwave
Pheonix Edge - An explosive uppercut that deals neutral and fire damage to an enemy.

Personality: Algus is normally a man that's well put together. He's very kind and courteous, and also very noble. He can be a bit stubborn sometimes, though.
Background History: Algus was born into a semi-aristrocratic family in the Holy Capital of Aethis. By the age of 10, he began to realize that he was....different from other kids his age. It was one day, when he was 12 years old, that his powers awoke. He was being bullied by some kids in the schoolyard, when he became so angry that he caused a huge tornado to toss the kids up in the air. Once he came to his senses and notice the kids in the air, he somehow forced the wind into becoming a soft surface for them to land on. The kids never messed with him from then on. When the king announced he was rounding up people demonstrating "magical powers" a year ago, Algus cut ties with his family and became a Scholar and Musician. But now the soldiers have found him, and he's on the run yet again....
