if at all possible, it is also a game that doesn't place a giant emphasis on cash shop items.

There's also Ghost Online and Lunia, which a both side scrolling.

i tried lunia, the graphics are choppy and the controls are kind of unresponsive. not to mention it is pseudo 3d, i'm looking for a true sidescroller.

keep listing them, please, as the ones the first guy listed are not north american yet.

Ghost online is fun, only if you are a 1337 h4x0r though.

Windslayer is to cheesy IMO.

I'm waiting for Latale.

Tenvi and Latale are probably the best looking ones so far, if you can wait for that long till they release in US. Or just look in the foreign game section.
