this is the first F2P game that i have noticed with quite a few positive and not so much negative posts, especially during OB. I
just had a look at the 2gb+ client and was wondering if its worth playing?

Btw any cool group dungeons??

Definitely worth the download, and mid to late game most of the quests revolve around partying and taking down instances with some pretty impressive looking bosses.

sounds great because i can't convince my poor friends to play WoW with me, so we are looking for a game with good instances.

On a side note, any games to reccomend for the group instancing?

Basically all you gotta do is do a manual patching. THey have like 10 different sites that host the first patch. You download it (It's 335mb), put it in the patches folder in the Requiem folder, mark it as read only then run the patcher like normal. Say ok to the error and you'll be good to go.

Wouldn't reccomend playing tonight though, everyone and their grandma and her dog is trying to get on, so it's laggy as all hell and the newbie spot is so horribly camped the mobs die almost before then can spawn.

I downloaded the whole client the open beta one from gamershell i unrared it and when i launch setup.exe then i get the error

Try Dling it with flashget?, maybe some of the conent was damaged during your dl. But if your having an issue like that you most likely gonna have to re-dl.

Maybe the lack of negativity is due to the lack of hype. Most of us seem to be going in with fairly low expectations (lowerd further by patching issues), then once we play, we get this pretty awsome F2P game.

They announced during the CB phase that there will be a wipe after both betas, but then removed it recently (according to some people on the official boards). Ask nearly anyone and they'll say yes, there will be a wipe. But some people think, due to the announcements removal, that there may not be.
Until we get another official post, we can't be 100% sure. But I wouldn't get your hopes up, just incase.
