Default Gonna get $1,000 of spending money (want to buy laptop)

SO yeah I want to buy a gaming laptop, but I realize they are alot more expensive than normal gaming PC's. Is it possible to get agood gaming laptop for 1,000 or under? I need a laptop because I'm gonna be moving around alot. I don't care if its heavy, just as long as I can stuff it in my backpack and take it with me. I want to be able to play most games at high detail, but I don't think $1,000 is enough money to do that.

Don't say build your own because I really don't know how I would **** everything up.

Spend the money on tools and steal yourself 100 laptops.

my everex xt5300 is pretty good at handling games. Although if you buy one you might want to considering adding more ram as well as upgrading the processor.

If u want to buy a new one aim for a Intel T9300 2.5GHz, FSB 800MHz processor (6MB cache), 3 to 4 GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, a good graphic card and a SATA HD (250+ G. Of course I doubt you can buy one for $1000 (a good laptop with this specs as base should go up to $1800, more or less) but if you only need it to play games (or at least mainly), buy a new or upgrade your tabletop PC. Way cheaper

I just found one, is it crappy? Also, I need a laptop because Ill be going to the Army soon. I won't be sitting around at home as much as I was before. I'm not looking to play games like Crisi at high detail. I just want to actually be able to play them without getting an error saying ''sorry your computer does not meat the minimum requirements'' I would also like to be able to play most of these free to play games at high detail with no lag.

Depending on what you wanna play, that laptop can probably run games from 2005 and back. As for the free games, you can probably run all of them.

I suggest you don't buy a laptop for gaming. They overheat to fast, well that's what I've been told. You can probably play about 3-5 hours on a laptop w/o it overheating.

Good luck on finding a good laptop to game on

This pc is AMD based and, even though I do like AMD and have one at my desktop, this processors overheat more quickly than Intel.
If $1000 is really your top I would recommend you this one:

Of course I would change the HD to one with 7200 rpms (this make a huge difference IMO) and for more $80 the 9300 intel processer (2x the cache and faster than the other option)

P.S - u might wanna buy an external fan (around $40 and will help u to play/work for more time with lower temperature...)
