WoW players are sheep and fun to poke. Yesterday on another board , I was talking with someone on the chat system about loving my Goblin , and this guy , goes "Warhammer stole its entire game from WoW"

Then we had 20 minute debate about how Greenskins and Orcs where invented by Blizzard in Warcraft RTS games. My friend who was watching , and helping me with my bot program / macro kept poking the guy , spurning the guy to post his facts.

It was all fun til the GS kicked us out of the chat for 3 hours for fighting. O.o

I didnt comepare it to ryl, duh. I made an example of how they rated this game by comparing it to todays state of graphics.

There you go, this is exactly what I meant. 'at its time of release' read that out LOUD.

And to all the WOW haters here. Seems like to be a new trend for people that get hit in the face by that 13$ a month and now search for arguments. All you guys can come up with is lame invalid arguments like 'uhh they do advertising' or whatever.
I dont think I've read a single good argument against the actual WOW gameplay, content, or PVP. Face it, your average korean adapted grinder just cant stand against brilliant p2p mmos from companys like Blizzard with alot of experience in the gaming business. So all you get the read here is 'OMG WOW SUX!!1'. I guess its the onrpg board itself wich keeps itself alive with 3 fresh korean grinders a month that die after 5 months due to bored users and lame content combined with brutally lame gameplay. But hey, they are free, so most of the people here that wont spend money on games like WOW are on this board checking the new games. And thats why that anti-p2p-hype is going around here.. WOW players just dont go around on these boards because they stick to a game and dont have to search for new hyped grinders every 3 weeks because they realise their oh all so awesome koreagrinder has failed like they all do.

Shit? What are you, 10 years old? RYL was a pretty damn revolutionary MMORPG at its time of its release. Its graphics were awesome for its generation of MMORPGs, and it was freaking f2p.

...and I just realised this was about RYL2: Path of the Emperor, not the original, but I'm still assuming Lawliet is basing is opinion off the screenshot, lol.


and considering this statement:
The person who made the list probably doesn't know nuts about MMORPGs.

well i might as well add my 2 cent

my opinion is this list fails hardcore for the reasons of
loads love Lineage 2
loads love Ryl (myself included)
PLENTY of play RF (lots foreign though)

i think vanguard probably was horrible due to the fact they went retail and the servers were horribly unstable and it ate system ram like it was nothing
being able to play lineage 2 and wow and eq2 on high graphics yet vanguard required lowest settings thats instent fail in my book

It's funny how these lists never mention the commericaly hyped games.

1. RF Online is easy to travel around now that they have added Jetpacks, WoW is brutal to travel around through levels 1-40/60 and you do more running around in its endgame than people say (Bladdy Dailies)

2. LineageII was great and yes it focused on Guild/Big Party play but no ones mentioned how a game like WoW requires you to 10-25man to really do much endgame content (suprise?!) but not much ingame management? You could use MSN there was a dungeon/quest zone manager build into the game, it was near impossible to get lost.

3.RYL was a PvP Based Game. FACT. and talking about outdated Graphics? Runescape Maybe? Mir? Soma? theres tonnes of games w/o RYLs graphics that have done well for themselves, at tis time RYL boasted great graphics.

This is why I always goto the players for honest opinions and never lsitent o bullshit sites like Gamespot. hated em eversince they ruined GF.

Ryl had goofy controls but it wasnt bad , my oldest brother enjoyed it.

Graphics though I have to disagree with , dated graphics would be UO , Eq1 (even with the new engine) , 2005 graphics where good.

I understand that,I'm saying you should have compared to a game like runescape because your point would have made more sense,But ryl is shit compared to marios popularity and always will be.

It's funny. 90% of all the people who talk in this thread are in for people having their own opinions ( seen it in other threads) and yet they say the list sucks etc. It's all a matter of taste. If you don't like it, tell what you don't like about it and then quit it. It's just one list out of freaking millions and one mmorpg opinion out of billions.
