It's partly because of the alcohol that effected their judgement, but also the temperature, 10 celsius is really, really cold. The coldest I've been in(for longer than a minute or so) is about 13-14 celsius and I felt like I was freezing up(I wasn't of course.)

Call me cruel for not feeling too much sympathy for them when I heard this story earlier from local news...

The life jacket is a good idea, however the swimming is a moot point.

If you get in a boating accident and smash your head open or knock yourself out, it won't matter if you are an olympic gold medal swimmer..... still gonna die, unless you have the jacket on.
