Default Economic Stimulous Payment

So, I was supposed to get one of these but the lady that has done my taxes (correctly) for the last 5-6 years has ****ed all my taxes up this year.

To start, she had told me I had to pay the Fed almost 600 dollars. Ouch. Second she said I was getting 10 bucks back from State. Double Ouch. So I ended up paying all this out of pocket, that really sticks a dent in your pocket.

So, I was told I'm getting 600 for the stimulous, great! Not. Never got it. I called her to find out what had happened and she said I was still living at home and thats why. WTF. She had got my brother and I FLIPPED, saying he was me and I was him.

After doing all of the tax amendments and what have you, the end result is: I get 600 for the stimulous, but its got to be mailed to me via check because I never got anything direct deposited through the federal government. I also get the 560 some odd bucks back that I paid to the government, along with whatever return I was supposed to get.

So, just curious, anyone else get a messed up tax year this year, for those of you that can actually get/do taxes?

I've done my taxes myself, never had a problem... I honestly don't see how people can have such a problem with taxes. It's really quite simple math.
I believe I just got either the tax return or the stimulus check back. One of them came yesterday, haven't had the time to check it out.
If my guess on the stim-check and the tax return is correctly, I'm looking at about $700-$800 total.
Not that bad for only working half of this year.
May get a 360 or new glass-ware with some of the money, the rest is being saved.

I was going to do it this year myself but decided against it. Our tax lady has always done our taxes for free because my dad done a lot of remodeling work on her house. So payment was free taxes.

But I'm definitely doing it myself next year for sure.

I'd love to use my returns to buy something that I want (new lcd monitor) but I got too many bills that are itchin to be paid off asap.

My two cents is that any people who buy things rather than pay off debt with the stimulus package are retards.

@shadowsworn, They're hoping you'll spend it all on useless shit you don't
need, and that the Nation will bounce back from the depression through
manual "stimulation".

Hence, the "stimulus" in the "stimulus check".

Until everyone's in debt again and we're in the same ****ing position we are now.

The nation's gigantic throbbing penis we know as "the American economy" is being rubbed with MONEY!

You need money to mend these problems in most cases. If not, then war would be a great (/sarcasm) substitute.

Well, depending on the war. Then, you're in a ditch.

Also, the debt comes from American lifestyle (for the most part), and Bush (for the lesser, more current part).
