Then just use your California State ID. My idea is that you'd have to show the Korean government your passport to get an FSSN anyway (as you show it to an official upon arrival) so giving them that information doesn't seem so wrong to me.

If you want to continue doing what you're doing, that's cool, I'm not going to harass you. I'm only saying that they're presenting you with a legal way to play. It's limited to one person per identity but if korean people can live with just 1 account, I'm sure you can too. I'm sure they can live with handing over their KSSNs over the internet as well, although, that's probably why so many people have them now from certain company's sites being hijacked.

Beside the point, use a driver's liscense or something that doesn't have sensitive information, scan it, give it to them instead.

I know several Koreans that use different kssns to make multiple accounts on games.....So that statement isn't completely true.

Meh, the only time I put any personal information on the net is during online purchases, which that itself is a rare occasion.

Even if you know several Koreans who commit it, ask yourself this question? Which one of you is more in danger? The Korean people who could get fined 100k in Korean currency or you? The answer is the korean people, yet they do it just for an online game? Makes no sense.

That's fine, actually that's all you had to say. If it's your personal belief not to put information on the internet, fine, move on. I understand your feelings on that. To go beyond that just adds unnecessary information.

I do realize that, but when an act like that is so common, they tend to just ban the accounts rather than pursue them all. Since it would cost too much, and be too much of an effort to go after each and every one the risk of getting caught lessens to that effect. Usually it is just cheaper to ban the people who do it rather than to pursue legal action against every one of them. Yes, sometimes there are ones who are caught, but most of the time when the fine gets out of hand it is merely to make an example, and to instill fear to stop others from doing the same thing. It is common practice in many things.

Meh, debating always tends to bore me......Since I always hold fast to my beliefs. Anyhow, I am done with this topic.. If this continues it will just be a debate war on who is right and wrong, and inevitably become a flame topic. Take care.

@Nostra: I'm not holding a grudge, I just am a very spirited advocate of this route to joining Pmang. It may take much more effort, but I believe it's worth it.

@Everyone: I've just finished registering for my foreign account and everything checks out okay. It -seems- Pmang wants two types of visual information to confirm your identity. I used my passport and my State ID and just got it a few hours ago.

I am only level 5 at the moment in game. :P

It looks like the two forms wouldn't have worked for me anyhow since I only have my drivers license. (I don't leave the country so I never got a passport.)

Also I apologize if it seems I took offense or was a bit harsh. I tend to come off as cold or harsh, or so I am told.

I am also unsure of how to pm someone in game, so if you want my game name pm me here. Since for various reasons I do not like to make it public knowledge. :/

Damn, sorry to hear that. Well, an ID in America is only about 23 dollars. If you ever get the chance, you should try and get one!

Also, to pm people in game is pretty easy. You type to (name) and write what you want to write. Alternatively, it's /w (name) and write. However, I prefer the to as it doesn't feel weird.
