"Lady Furawa," he said quietly, through gritted teeth, "payment comes after the seige. Besides, you say 'everyday needs.' Look at the metropolis! They've cut off our supply line, so there's no everyday needs to buy. We need to focus on surviving, not on profit. If the thunderstorm doesn't kick up too much sand, we'll have plenty of water, but food doesn't just rain from the sky."
