Buying Counter Strike?

Is the only way to buy counter strike on steam? Or can you get it else where from stores, because my parents don't trust online buy. xD

if you still find one of theser rare packages its able to buy it offline :P

its only weakness is you dont have any chance to find some fast...

You might order it with Amazon aswell.

You can find it out at a Best buy, Future Shop, EBGames, Depends really.

Yeah Bestbuy, Futureshop, EBgames, Gamestop, all stores that sell games will sell Counter Strike
but it depends on which one u want
CSS or CS 1.6
because some Bestbuys have stopped selling CS 1.6 for some reason
but i live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada where we still have little tournaments for CS1.6 around the town..
CSS is more popular though
i dunno why
i like CS1.6 better though cuz it has way more "veterans/pros" playing

The reason they stopped selling 1.6 is because it comes when you install source ( Or atleast it did with me ._. )

Steam is really the best way to get it, but if not, check to see if you can buy HL:2 boxed. HL2 comes with Counter-strike: Source.

1.6 was good in its heydey, but Source is really the way to go, especially if you're new to CS. The only people who still play 1.6 are steam haters, hardcore pros, people in China, and people who hate new technology.

Source has nicer graphics, a tad-bit more forgiveable aiming, and much greater customization options.

My opinion is to get blue shift, its cd key is the half life platinum key, for me it came with HL1 and all its addons + CS but it only cost me $15, 9 years ago.
