I spent FOREVER and 1000 to make a gift box for someone in the game (A glass one. It is very nice n_n) but I can't get the gift inside of it!!!! What do I do? :O It is probably something obvious... Please help...

The gift box is not used for put gift inside and it's not tradable. It's one of requirmented item in order to get a wealthy title from Unlucky Chad. If you want to gave a gift to friend, make sure it's tradable first hehe, give something like a pet ^^, it's always tradable.
