I am sorry if this comparison upsets people but I am going to go ahead and say World of Warcraft. The group system in this gave each class roles that it could do really good/be innovative in. Such as the fact that a priest could kill the remaining mobs by himself even if it took awhile, rez the group, and continue on with the dungeon etc. Lots of abilities, ability to be versatile in a pinch etc.... these kinds of components being available in a game with a big dungeon/grouping focus.

I would LOVE for it to be wasd but I understand if it can't. It can be a big grind as long as the group play is FUN thats all that really matters.... if the games fun or not... So any suggestions on a good in depth group based game would be FANTASTIC. Thanks a ton guys. By the way I don't care if theres good PvP or not because most PvP games are gear based or whatnot so ive kinda given up hope. I know I posted earlier but this request doesn't involve pvp. Thanks.

lol you probly dont want to hear this one but shadow bane has realy good grouping if u get into it.turf battles has pretty fun grouping things u do past lvl 100 to lvl quik dungeon runs were u kill bosses also taking over the islands in groups for the pvp is fun.1 island u fight across rocks in the air u can jump to fun made map.flyff has lvling system to there party lets u get special options for the group such as better exp other things.knight online pserver the top ones have good parties also.

hmm but aren't most of those games not really that in depth as far as skills/partying goes? Except I think shadowbane is probably deep if im not mistaken... I know its got a heavy pvp focus. I am looking for a DEEPLY group oriented game with a nice skill system etc... I don't know if it exists but I figured id ask.... theres some really cool looking foreign games too bad I don't read chinese >.>

thanks for the suggestions so far any more choices? Oh and about turf battles.... how gear oriented is it? I just quit RYL 2 which is COMPLETELY based on gear but i've never even played turf battles....
does it have a good population/lots of skills etc?

This may sound ironic but I want to play an RPG online.... not a game where all you do is kill the 10 tigers with the 5 skills that you have + no real purpose:P I am very unfamiliar with turf wars/shadow bane though....

Oh man.... I just read on 6/3/08 somebody said turf battles is done... the website just plays intro movie over and over thats it.... I was actually curious but apparently turf battles has shut down T_T......

wow turfbattle shut down its alittle over 5 years old but it was great game as far as gameplay but like every 3d mmorpg ussualy lacks the depth u want. flyff does have actual skills for the party shadowbane doesnt have skills for the party but u can get seige skills wich are for grouping against castles or defending castles. i know theres couple games that have skills with the guild i just cant think of them right now ill try to rember.

well they don't have to be group specific skills just... like things that would benefit a group. Like buffs etc.... and I know it won't be world of warcraft quality but a game that has a good dungeon system or whatever that has a decent number of different classes/skills.... something to keep it interesting... not like RYL where theres 5 skills per class if that lol.

I am basically looking for a game with good group PvE.... PvP being balanced isn't really that important because if theres a focus on PvP the PvE may end up being terrible because they will pay too little attention to it.
