Hi,

I need a free, customizable, 2D Level Editor for a Rectangular Tile-based game that supports different tile layers.
With customizable I preferably mean that I can write scripts or plugins to support the format I am working with(opening/saving).

good luck finding an editor with rectangular tiles,

I've never seen/heard of such a thing.
