Auto Assault was closed down due to lack of subscribers. Millions of car warriors cried.

...and I don't think NCSoft is US only. I'd find out from them though.

anyways, there's a HL2 mod that's twisted metal like, room based, cars, special weapons, complete destruction, I forgot the name though

There isn't one. Your best bet would be Upshift Strikeracer. People don't actually race there, they mostly just sit at the starting line waiting for someone to move to shoot em in the butt.

You could try BZFlag...its kinda related in that you are in vehicles, have powerups, and shoot. But its a lot more tactical.

That's your opinion of course, but I and many others loved the game and were very, very sad to see it shut down. I played it to the last second when they shut down the server (man that last day was nuts! heh) and I still say to this day that it was one of the most underrated and underappreciated MMO's ever.

The beta killed the game though, which the devs freely admit. But, one day another car combat like MMO will come out that is similar, so I look forward to that.
