this is the one area i liked jagex for, they were honest.
I don't know if they still do this but the used to have the 'currently playing' total on the home page and didn't just release the number of accounts in there database (they will have over 10million because there is over 1million payed accounts that give them money every month) The number of player figure gets screwed up by people having more than one account aswell which happens ALOT in runescape because you're only alowed one charecter per account.
