Well, it destroys credibility for how game development is seen, not really discredit the industry itself.

I mean, anyone can seriously develop in RC, but since it is given a lazy peoples label, no one really goes for a, mod rc to hell kind of mentality.

Its price is the only reason that idea might be brought up, it would be the same for something like torque, or bigworld tech if their engines were as cheap.

Its really the people who use RC that bring discredit, I work on 3d environments and I could make a landscape in RC, place detailed pathways, but a problem with people and these types of engine is that they are given it to easy to.... a lazy point. Place a few trees down, and whatnot then call it a game.

true, engines that either include graphics/models with the download or even have them available on the same site are really just asking for this kind of audiance though to be honest. It makes them into more of a game editor with the feature of being able to take it right back to the engine instead of somthing that people build on to create a game.

Not that they're doing to badly out of the audiance, i'm sure that RC is very profitable it's just looked down upon by people who have a bit mroe experiance in the industry.

Ok now to point out my information...

Oh Yah stowaway, i was thinking about that a few days ago but forgot when I was posting haha, yah someone who sneeks on a ship hahah, lol damnit brain, stop doin drugs lol any way, some more info...

Not anyone can join any server, the cheif who pays money to become a cheifable has a option that decides who can go in
Here an example using my creativity lol
Add Player Options:

Billy103
Rockmuncher
Zebadiea

Add New Player

Imagine that a little in-game menu or something
So not anyone can jump in and mooch

Also the water thing I don't want people getting over furusterated over the sea water thing since first thing they might think, ok huge ocean, water resources... but I guess it's not to bad to make it have harmfuler effects since it would be a trial and error thing

Also I just might not make people play, it's all based on how it goes and even if this all works out...

Tooniverse is workingout pretty good too

Yah Rc is probably too easy, but it's more smart buisness, you make easy engine for 100 bucks lots of people wanting to learn are going to spring for it like that.

Also I have a bit of history for making my own models in my games
The only things I am using RC made for now is menus, emitters, map makin, trees and human model (These are handy for now but will change onces If begin opening my project to a team or just hire one person to help out then kick his *** out of my life lol ...

but Since I do animate and add bones but I've reached a huge problem which has set me back a stone age on work that should have been done a month ago which is really something else.
but I try to make my own player models, but for now I'll just edit default textures, but I really want to make one good human model to rid me forever of that defaulter

Glad to see some interest and a some discussion and comments

I always looked at RC as a demonstration development products.

But as it moves into c++ and direct x 9, well, it will be capable of producing very worthy graphics.

Yah, it's better than nothing...

Update: I am going to "steal" the rc bilboard of those trees to make the forest more real, because right now.... the trees don't look like forest... haha

haha thanks, will be some soon, just trying to make some trees, they aren't very tropical which is what I want to avoid, since tropical usally means coconuts, which means diarehha lol, I Guess bananas could be source, but for now, NO

So I should have a screen tonight if it looks good.

Some issues I am having with idea design is mostly keeping players to keep playing, I was going to have it they discover new areas of island where you can do more, but the problems is it can't go on forever... but I guess that's what sequals are for right? :S

So any suggestions on things to help player discover new things and suggestions on ingame things that can be discovered they are welcome
