Default XxShurikenxX's Bandit Guide

After high demand, I'm attempting a Bandit guide, since nobody comes UP with one! Well, here's how it is:

Bandits are real weak crap--from level 30. They are the lowest damage dealing class, so if you're not one of the determind types, then the Bandit class IS NOT for you. Most people pick Assassin, because they enjoy that they level fast, and their throwing stars are just whack, but you see there's one thing that they lack--variety. I mean come on! Lucky 7 is supposed to last them 120 levels when in 1 on 1 action? Bandits are much more fun when skill variety comes into play. I promise, if you can wait out for 45 levels, it WILL pay off.

If your a REAL attack monster, then invert the two skill orders that are shown first icon_wink.gif

+1 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery
+3 Dagger Mastery <Stop Here! The reason to keep it at 19 is because wasting 1 SP on 1 more accuracy point is just--bad>

+3 Savage Blow
+3 Savage Blow
+3 Savage Blow
+1 Savage Blow <It's recommended if you save 10 SP here, because 6% @ double MP usage each level isn't something so good>

Save 10 SP, & add to SB (Savage Blow should be level 20)
Now start adding 3 SP again, as level 21 and above gives you six hits rather than four.
(SB = 30 Mastered)

The trouble with Dagger Booster is not that isn't useful, but I've heard if you attempt 2 Double Stabs with DB on, the monster only takes knockback for one of the hits, and that could be because the monster hasn't had time to take the other shot's effect once again. However, this could be argueable . Need a comfirmation icon_biggrin.gif

P.S. You may want to sqeeze in booster in between levels 21-30 of Savage Blow.

+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster (6 in total)

+3 Endure (all you need to survive)
(optional if your very low on money, +3 EN, +2 EN, total of icon_cool.gif

+3 Haste (ALL BANDITS REQUIRE SPEED, excellent combination with Dagger Booster, as it can take down your enemies with incredible speed and ease)
+3 Haste
+3 Haste (No need to save SP, since +6 speed each time is noticable, and the 2x cost isn't much to lose)
+3 Haste
+3 Haste
+3 Haste
+3 Haste
+2 Haste (Mastered here; Level 20)

Now that all the mandatory skills have been maxed, it's time to go back and max a few minor things that are required for you to use:

If you didn't max Endure, make you do ASAP:
+1 Endure (we left off at putting 2 into haste, so there's one SP leftover)
+3 Endure
+1 Endure, total of 8, Maxed here.

Now finish maxing Dagger Booster, as it will cost you less when casting for longer periods (assuming that you skipped it, we'll start off by having no SP into it):
+2 Dagger Booster (2 SP remaining)
+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster
+3 Dagger Booster, maxed here.

Now the choice is yours, either max Steal in the Bandit book, or if you hadn't have maxed Dark Sight during levels 1-30, go for that first, as it stops overriding Haste for a better sneak attack.

<--PLaCeS AnD WhO To TrAiN On-->
Level 10~14: If you have trained your Dagger Thief properly, you should head straight for Slimes (mainly abundant 3 maps south of Ellinia; the furthest tree on your left) @ Level 12, since you get a newer dagger, as well as have enough LUK to take them out in 1 or 2 regular shots. If you had a rough time training your thief, and accidently put some AP (Ability Points) on unnecessary stats, then just stick to killing Tree Stumps, Snails/Red Snails in the Kerning City Construction site.

Level 15~19: Your Double Stab should be around level 10 by now, and you should be able to take out Orange Mushrooms in one hit (with DS). If you prefer to take the rich route, then head to Ribbon Pigs on the top left area of Pig Beach (around 50 EXP per area spawn!).

Level 20~24: It's time to head on to Octapuses! DS should be maxed by now, and that should be enough to kill them in 1-2 hits. They can be found with excellent spawn in the top floor of the Kerning City Construction Site (under-constuction building).

Level 25~29: Arright, you made it this far, now it's time to really aim for that Bandit level! Don't give up here, your days away! Have some fun continuing to train on Octapuses, and if you're REALLY bored of that, then Green Mushrooms should be your next priority. Can be found 3 maps south of Ellinia, the tree beside the slimes.

30~34: You've made it! You're finally a Bandit! With the help of some Warrior Potions (can be bought @ any potion store), you can start to destroy Horned Mushrooms just below the Ant Tunnel I exit/entrance towards Sleepywood. If you are not confident with your skills damage-wise, the try the Green Shroom/Horned Shroom tree. Can be found 3 maps south of Ellinia, first tree beside the entrance/exit towards Ellinia.

35~39: Really by this time, you should really consider buying a +7 Gephart/Korean Fan (only if you are a LUK Bandit), because it will probably remain as your dagger until what, level 5x-6x+ Shinkitas are very expensive, and if you're really one of those attack whores, go for it. Once you do this, go on to Wild Boars, you'll find them very easy to eliminate with a Double Stab shot. AS FOR STR. DAGGER BANDITS, stick to your Cass, and well...good luck training on Horned Shrooms as of these levels. Consider buying a upgraded Bazlud later on @ level 40.

40~45: Still stick to Wild boars (or Fire Boars!), you'll find something interesting at level 46...

46~49: Yes! Savage Blow has been maxed (that is, if you skipped Dagger Booster)! Now is your time to shine against Cold Eyes and Copper Drakes. However I recommend Cold Eyes since there HP is about 1800/1900, and your Savage Blow does around 1.8k damage per shot at minimum. However, if you really want to show off, you can try taking out Copper Drakes in two hits =]. Cold Eyes are found 5 maps after Ant Tunnel Park (where the VIP cab takes you to). Look for the map title "The Tunnel That Lost Light". They have very high spawn rates, so you will be occupied. Copper Drakes can be found in Dangerous Valley I.

50~54: You're looking better than ever! Even if you have a Gephart/Fan at hand, it'll do just fine. Start fending off Red Drakes and Stone Golems, they'll be quite fun to kill ^^. Red Drakes are in Dangerous Valley II, and Stone Golems are found in the Breathing Rock areas.

55~59: Just have tons of fun killing Dark Stone Golems, since they'll be the EXP givers at this time. Can be found in Sleepy Dungeons III, IV and V.

60~70: Test your luck against Wild Cargo, you should be able to kill them in...3-5 hits of Savage Blow (need confirmation)

70+: Really, you look like the incarnation of BoxeR (highest level Bandit in GMS). Really, do whatever you want. Tauromacis and Taurospears aren't a bad start!

As for the features.

Str. Bandit
-Faster attack than Luk Bandit in most cases
-Their daggers are more stable in damage than Luk Bandits (even though the attack power of the daggers are the same, i.e. Reef Crow/Cass)
-Weaker in terms of damage than Luk Bandits
-Weaker than Assassins in damage
-Weaker damage than Warriors, but more stable (CRITICAL POINT)

Luk Bandit
-More damage than Str. Bandits, but less stable (barely makes a difference, Str. Bandits have like 10 more attack points in terms of being stable
-Slower daggers than Str. Bandits, however in one case that is false, Reef Crow and Cass being the two.
-Tied with Assassins in damage, but assassin's are more unstable (critical throw, bandits do as much as 1 CT+1 Regular L7 Star with Savage Blow) but Chief Bandits will earn the advantage later on.
-Weaker damage than warriors, but much, much more stable.

Hope this helped anyone who was looking for a Bandit guide,
Good Luck! icon_biggrin.gif P.S. Olaph, is it okay if you stick me and Zadam's guide? There is no Assassin/Bandit guide on the stickies list (just a thought!)[/b]
