I haven't played Maple in awhile, so I don't exactly understand what you're trying to get at.
The newbie quests generally give much needed EXP and Ely, the in-game currency.
They also give pots such as HP pots and SP pots.
Mobs don't exactly drop pots all the time, so having a number of pots on hand is always helpful.

I mean, is the game quest wise, or it is like maple with a bunch of useless quests?


Like, if im a quest maker, i like to do all quests that i can... Will i enjoy making those quests and get good rewards or am i going to spend weeks trying to get a friggin arwen glass shoes and then win just a friggin piece of ice that is useles and worth less than the pots i spent to get it...

Oh, no.
The quests in LaTale are simple.
And the rewards are pretty good.
The rewards generally include pots, exp, and ely, but are not limited to those 3.

COMPLETELY FALSE.

It's not like LaTale is the first 2D sidescroller out there, give me a break. Maple Story came out first (the english version, that is) and at first it was a "GLOBAL" game. Your LAG would affect no one else but YOU. The servers were, and still are, pretty stable; even with the large quantity of European/South American/Australian players that remained.
If you LAG it will affect YOU as a player, it won't affect people around you. Unless you are the kind of person that goes "OMG TEH CLERIC DIDNT HEEL ME AND I DIED!1!".
Oh, and about PvP? Not sure how the Arena works in LaTale, but in Wind Slayer if you lagged in the Arena you would pretty much DIE; it wouldn't give you an "unfair advantage" over the other users.

Truth is, people hoping for an IP Block are just being xenophobic, as usual. "OH NO TEH PERSON IS SPEEKING IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE WHICH I DONT GET! I FEEL ANGRY BECUZ THEY CULD BE TALKIN BOUT MEH!!!1!"

I wouldn't know. I don't know that many Japanese people; do they go around in several gaming forums screaming how they demand an IP BAN for American players?
I mean, I have played several Japan hosted games that didn't have an IP Block, so I guess you aren't talking about the hosting companies.

And you get free exp and items. xD
It's also repeatable. :>
