I wouldn't even expect any more NEWS till the end of the year, let alone a release.
It'll probably be released by Summer/Fall 2009. Maybe Holiday Season 2009.
Spring 2010 at the latest. Really, that's almost two years from now.
I don't think they would push it that far.

4 years is quite a long time to work on a game. This gets my hopes up for a possible end of year release!!!

it won't come at the end of this year, i'm pretty certain of that. Blizzard takes its time, and i wouldn't be surprised if they added another year on top of that. I alsodon't recall SC2 being released anytime soon, and it has been quite a while since the announcement.

but hey, if i happen to have a diablo III desktop icon in my PC by december, touché
