Mushi-shi had horrible episodes, although the storylines were solid good, but every episode was different. It was leading nowhere. I quit halfway.

Welcome to the NHK! was beast. Just finished but wasn't satisfied with the ending. I have yet to find a be-fitting ending.

Personally that's what made it good.
Having something different every episode was good because it made it interesting and you never knew what was going to happen.
Not like every other anime where they do the same thing over and over plus the storylines which you can foreshadow from the very beginning...
