ROFL. External hard drive is the worst choice.
Why would you recommend spending money on an external hard drive when you can transfer files without spending a dime? meh... EDIT: at the most, it would take 3 single layer dvdr's to accomplish the task. This would translate to about 10 mins, and 25 cents a disc....so yea... you could always do that instead of the simple file sharing... which is still cheaper than an external hd.. lol I remember when my dad told me he fixed hard drives back in the day. in 70's and 80's he worked with programmers and had to fix these huge expensive hard drives, 520 mb!
and they spun at 300 mph lol. not to mention the programmers didnt know how to not mess up these drives, so my dad had to fix these(each repair used 2000 in parts) and from what i heard it was quite difficult. so, just be glad your not working with a 520 mb hard drive , or you would break the pins and metal shrapnel would be everywhere.
