No love for alone in the dark?

I just bought the new alone in the dark game for pc. Yes, I know it got crap review but I couldn't resist seeing Carnby back in action. When I played the game though, I actually liked it. Am I the only one?

can't say about that one, but the older games were limited to the classic PC audience and the 3do.
I'm not suprised that people reviewed it badly, it looked pretty neat but i doubt i'll get it, but i love the first alone in the dark, 2 was acceptible and 3 was a rip.

wii version fails epicly.

you cant even move a weapon like you see on youtube, that shouldve been done for the wii

in the sewers where there are tons of undead, you see pipes all over the floor yet you cant even pick up a single one, and they expect you to fight an overpowerd zombie with no weapon available

i mean come on wtf are they doing?

just played for an hour or 2 and then returned it and got brawl.

This is only in the wii vesion. In the PC version I totally owned a zombie with a lamp with it's shade on fire, a broom and and an axe, and this is only one room.

I liked the original games, specially the "alone in the dark: the new nightmare" but this one ehh, If I happen to find a demo or something I'll give it a try. All the bad reviews make me nervous about actually buying it.

The new nightmare got some pretty crappy reviews as well.

Heh heh..... yeah.

Anyways, if your computer is stong enough, I would give it a try if you liked the other games in the series and don't really giva crap about a few bugs (I haven't found any crashes... yet).

my wii version is different to yours, because its my understanding that you can only pick up pipes if there is the A symbol above a pipe. I've never been weaponless around zombies.

I did find one glitch, in the park when you're supposed to hitch a ride with the guy in the vehicle, the first time i tried, he got carried off before he reached the truck by the bats and it bugged out.
My other complaint, is the driving controls on the wii are ridiculous, they sholud let you choose if you want the motion controls or not.

Otherwise its a good game, probably a bit short because its easy on normal.
