rivatuner puts the temp right on the toolbar and on the game program all you have to do is make sure it doesn't hit higher than 80 celsius......not really that hard...

thats the first one i was thinking of getting but the other had a bit better specs and i didnt really trust the company "PALiT" so i left it alone lol

The 1GB won't be put to good use in the 8800GT. I read about it on a review somewhere.

Good choice. I'm considering getting the 9800GTX, but the Radeon HD 4870 is looking good too.

the radeon 4870 is actually alot better and it's overcloking abilities are great.....

it also handles AA very well

i might get one down the road when they are very low price lol maybe in a year.....

my 8800gt still runs everything fine....when I run into too many games that I can't run on max setting ( except from vysnc and AA) then I will buy a new card

Protip: until ATI get their catalyst drivers to work like they are supposed to: I would stay away from Radeons for a while.
