well i just ordered a new video card and its official im getting the nvidia 9800 512mb
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=P450-9802 thought it was for a very good deal so decided to go with it....... at first i was thinking of going with the 1 gb 8800 but i thought to myself that a 512 mb vid card with better shaders and core clock will probably do a bit better for me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814261012 thats the first one i was thinking of getting but the other had a bit better specs and i didnt really trust the company "PALiT" so i left it alone lol anyways just thought id brag a little since im really hyped for this and just thought id show anyone else interested in a vid card the cheap prices the 9800 is for |

That 2nd link you posted, that GFX card is HUEGER than Xbox. And yeah, make sure you at least have 650 watts of power.

Wow they had a huge price drop on those..
Instead of making a new thread, I'll just ask this here: Can you dual SLI two different video cards, or do they have to be the same card? Like this: I have a 8800GT, can I buy a 9800GTX and SLI them? |

I'm getting the exact same card too,Wise! You're wasting 120€ on that PSU but i'm getting a Corsair 600W with 12v:52A for only 70€. Lolercakes.
Anyway, Wafflez i'm not sure but everyone uses same cards for a reason. Oh and the 9800 supports Tri-Sli.

One more thing: Does the power a GPU uses affect your CPU temperature? Or is it separate because it has its own fan, etc.? I'm still amazed with that 1GB card, that's nuts. |

The 9800GTX had a price drop after the 4850 came out. |
