I heard Odin is the most populated, just made a character there though so I'm not sure.

Now come on you know that not true that game has a huge community, know one would be able to level if it didn't.

I played on pheonix that was a pretty good community lots of english people lol unlike most of the other servers i played on. Bahamut is supposed to be quite good too.

it doesnt matter if its most populated or not..
all the servers are most likely same. only difference is that if you join 1 of the first server.. you will have hard time finding a party.

If you happen to go most populated server.. prices might be inflated as well..
Square Enix will merge or transfer people for free if 1 server is flooded/empty with population.

I recommand you to play in server where friends are.

Bahamut is a server where i find alot of new players.

Often servers have more than 4k ppl online or 5 or 6

I think the game has around 700,000 paying members so no the game isn't dead. Its just a lot of people are from Japan as they adore FF. Go on the FFxi server and IGN list and see who are playing on what server any game is a lot more fun with friends.

odin is the most populated by far but i would not recommend it as party leveling spots r more scarce and the prices would be inflated all to hell..go to asura, bahamut or pheonix just avoid titan if at all possible..its the most populated with a$$holes
