Hello there, I've been looking for this kind of game for PSP for a long time since it's the kind of game that I like and usually enjoy the most.
I'm trying to find a game much like FlyFF/Rose Online for the PSP, it may be offline only I dont care bout online.. but I would really want a 3d Role Playing fantasy game where you whack monsters to death, raise your level and buy new equips and maybe even mounts and choose for yourself if you wish to grind, or quest... Please any ideas ? |

Hmm.. kind of odd request; I guess you are looking for a single player on psp that is like an MMORPG =p. Well, Tales Of World: Radiant is pretty close I suppose; except it's not completely ARPG since you have to "encounter" and get into battle before you actually fight.
Phantasy Star Portable is coming out by 7/31 in Japanese; that should be really really close to what you are looking for I bet. Edited: Yeah, pretty sure you would love it. Get your hands on the demo now, it's already pretty fun for a PSP game; it plays just like PSU on PC with much lesser details of course. But damm, it was a fun game for me just being a demo o_0. flyff and rose-like?
thats clearly gurumin. good game overall, just a bit too childish for my taste. but if u want to try a bit less anime-ish gfx,go for crysis core or marvel ultimate alliance.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is good for you... FFVII had one of the most diverse storylines ever and anyone who chalenges that statement obviously hasn't played through all the option stuff and did some other things don't judge FFVII until you have watched FFVII: AC, played FFVII, CC: FFVII, Watched FF: BC, and PLAYED FF: DC. i agree though, FFVIII Storyline was BAD... SUCKED BAD, same with the characters, limit break system, junction system, and... well thats all i can come up with. /end angry FF fanboy nerd rant

anyway i was a big fan of the turn based system of the classic FFs,and totally hate that hack'n'slash'n'look-at-a-slot-machine sickening abortion they did with crisis core.
still it fits his request, but i wouldnt recomend that game to any oldschool gamer that used to really love the FF series.

Dude, a PSP RPG that plays like an MMO is definitely Monster Hunter. You hunt monsters of varying sizes, level up, make money, buy equipment. The only downside on the PSP is that they only offer local multiplayer, and not online. In Japan, Monster Hunter on the PSP is really popular so I'm sure they have no trouble finding people to play with, but in the rest of the world, you may have to convince some friends to buy it.
I myself am looking forward to Phantasy Star on the PSP. That'll have both an offline and online mode I think.
