What is DPS.. I'm kinda new in cabal and I keep encountering "DPS" in forums... because they say whoever has the highest DPS wins...

It refers to your damage as in Damage Per Second.

DPS = Damage Per second, Say if you had some poison, it would give 5 Damage per second, for so many seconds.

Nope, poison is damage over time (DOT) which means it does damage even after you hit the person, stealing X amount of HP per X seconds.

Damage per second is what you do to calculate effective attacks.

If an attack does 5000 damage, it takes 8 seconds to cast your DPS is 625.

You want the highest DPS possible.
