vandal hearts 1 and 2 were my favorite ps1 games i played them over and over but theyre strategy games not rpgs....good call though lol

and oh snap i forgot to mention parasite eve wtf is wrong with me lol....and tbh *hides under bed* ive never played the first grandia

Grandia is the best RPG for the PS1, Grandia 2 is the best RPG I've ever played in my life.

FF7 For PS1 was awsome! Sadly..I wasnt a fan of PS1. But I loved FF7 anyways for SNES I cant really say...Oh Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana!!!

My favorites are FF4+6 and Chronotrigger for SNES
FF7+9 for PS1

These were most memorable for me. I can't find anything that evokes the same feeling and excitement in PS2 RPGs.

SNES: Chrono Trigger, Star Ocean, Tales Of Phantasia, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy V

PS1: Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy Tactics, Star Ocean: The Second Story, Tales Of Destiny, Tales Of Eternia (AKA Destiny II in the US).

i liked chrono trigger,star ocean,earthbound and secret of mana 1 and 2 on snes

and star ocean 2nd story, chrono cross and legend of mana

along with alot of the other games thats been mentioned by other people in this thread, i also liked the legeacy of kain series alot (blood omen's and the soul reaver games)

and i liked nightmare creatures II, even though probably better to call it action adventure/platformer/puzzles (same could be said for soulreaver but whatever)

for ps1 by far diablo 1 the 2 player version.
