The thing about Pokemon games is that they have a level beyond casual play that adds hundreds of hours and strategic online pvp. This new level isn't about having a level 100 mewtoo that you trained on the elite 4 for maybe 10 hours. This level requires you to breed a pokemon with great stats and moves and then train it from level 1, fighting the correct pokemon. There is no longer a need to get levle 100 as if you battle online all pokemon are automatically levle 100. Don't like the 'best' pokemon? No problem. There are different tiers so you don't have to just fight with the highest stat legendaries, you can pit charizard and blastoise together. Each new game can change the balance of online play and so it's important for those players to invest in the new games. If you don't know what 'competitive pokemon' is then google smogon. I just found out about this about a month ago so I went out and bought platinum as the only other game I have is saphire. |

Why? Pokemon is fun, so what's if the target audience is kids, doesn't mean teens and up can't enjoy it by taking it to the next level.
To the person above me...how are those mice with sidebuttons? I was considering getting one but decided against it as I would probably press them on accident far too often. |
