Wasn't EQ2 released close or around the same time as WoW by a less recognized company? and it looks beautiful. Same with FFXI, it's graphics are all skins, but it has a certain Beauty to it.

So there's no real excuse :x. They could of tried a little harder.

Eh. WoW's art design is pretty ugly I find.

I mean, the shoulder pads completely kill it, it looks stupid.

Yeah I think that's one of the things that ruined it completely for me. ALL the shoulder pads looked ****ugly. It was so unrealstic looking aswell, which I shouldn't be complaining about since it is a cartoon game, but damn.

You guys havent saw what i wrote

if you look up blizzard never intend to make the game to have realistic graphic for WOW.

They made it look cartoonish because of the warcraft series.

Also WoW was one of the smoothest gameplay of it time for a MMORPG.


Dont even compare FFXI to WoW graphic, i rather compare it to RoM.

Even if cartoonish, when a character's shoulder pads are each larger than his breastplate, the designer has something very wrong going on.

they still could of tried WAY more. and why not compare FFXI's graphics to WoWs? FFXI has some pretty nice looks around and to it.

THEY NEVER INTENDED TOO omg..

Go play warcraft 3 ft and look at it then go play WoW they made sure it look a like but made it 3D ~_~.

The only game if they were to make realistic in the future would be

1. A New Game(which they are working on)
2. Diablo III (World of Diablo lol..) but that would be badass.

Youre just a WoW basher. Its fantasy mate. not real. Therefore the designer is free to go with his work.
