Becuase it's a mod.

The mod makes the graphics better, adds in better music, changed the maps and has an option to keep the same characters or use the new HD ones.

Good. That's the only reason I didn't want to download it. It's not the same without the base character models.

The only thing I hated about the download was it being 9.13 gigs for the beta 1 and then for the beta 3 patch it was 800 mbs.
