How do people play aws the zerg?i played online today and to kill anything,you need a pretty big army

the small minions are literally useless and killed by maries in a few seconds

so how do Zergs win?

Early aggression.

Don't go for an all in Rush like 6pool (unless you're sure it won't fail....indicating you're in copper) However when you get some zerglings out on the field you want to try to contain your enemy. The playstyle is very different fromt he other 2 races in that it is very macro intensive.

Basically, if you can contain and harass the enemy, you allow for yourself to expand and garner a sizable army. And even if your engagement fails your army is normally much easier to replace then the enemies.

Also, zerg can win the game on MACROmanagement alone. Simply because of the pressure of constant forces. Just try to expand before 20 supply and then manage those 2 bases effectively and you'll be doing alright. But Zerg are not in anyway a race you turtle with

EDIT: What helped me was watching how the Diamond League players did it and then trying to emulate their decisions, strategies, and build orders

as they're both Diamond level Zerg players. Even if they aren't live just watch previous broadcasts and you can pick a lot up. I didn't play Starcraft 1 except maybe like twice and I was able to do the campaign(Normal), read some guides, and watch videos from these guys and go 4:1 in placement and continue to play well in my league. I prefer terran,havent tried protoss yes,but just couldnt get into the Zergs

they are very nice rushers,fast moving and good enough,but you need to send a good army out fast
