Well, I just got a Dell Studio laptop. Its not top of the line...far from it. However, it runs incredibly. Upgrade the video card...but mine came default with 3 gigs of ram. I couldn't be happier with my purchase...and, you could put the extra $1000 to something else!

i'd pick the second one or this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220307

I dunno why this $200 cheaper, I notice it only has 250GB less hard-drive capacity

btw, i agree with above poster about the screensize. 18" laptop is big and heavy. u'll be having hardtime carrying it. 15.4" or 14.1" are the ideal choice imo

Yea for sure. I think dell has a 20.1 inch laptop which is like 17 pounds. I think the average weight for a 15.4 laptop is about 5-6 pounds.

Imagine carrying around a 17 pound laptop....... holy crap.

Yea, like most assault rifles: It should come with a strap and a carrying handle.

Mine came with an extra magazine clip too. 17" isn't that bad if you're going to play games on your laptop and not carry around most of the time.
