Single Player RPGS Aimed At Adults
I am wondering if there are any good rpgs that are targeted more towards an adult/mature audience. Something like vampire the masquerade: bloodlines. (just downloaded it, playing and loving it). Only thing is it has lots of random crashes for me, even after downloading the latest unofficial patch. So, anybody know any good rpgs with that mature/dark feel to it?

Hardly there is any single player rpg that are massive/adult but try Oblivion(i'm not sure atm I think latest is The Elder scrools 4 Oblivion or smth like that) so try to find it i'm not 100% I sow on internet adv.

Tried fallout, meh, didn't like the gameplay. I've got Oblivion, don't get me wrong, its a good game and all, but it doesn't have the feel I am looking for. I wanna try witcher because I've heard that its kinda of a mature rpg. I just want some rpg that is one or more of the following:
Dark Mature Gothic Adult Etc Etc Etc... I'm hoping you can kinda understand what I am asking for. I like vampire because it not just a rpg with vampires in it ya know what I am saying? Its the style of the game, the environments, the characters, everything. It's just not a game for kids and thats kinda what I am looking for. |

gothic 1 and 2 are very good single player rpgs that are aimed at adults
too bad your having trouble with bloodlines, its a very good game imo also the 1st vampire game is supposed to be good though i havent played it Last edited by chris183; 07-15-2008 at 04:18 AM. |

If you have a PS2, I'd recommend the Shin Megami Tensei series, particularly Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2. Good story, and its a fairly mature RPG:

Well, I'll have to go...get gothic 1,2, and 3 via the same way I got vampire.
 Also, I am strictly a western rpg gamer only when it comes to single player/non massive rpgs. Eastern rpgs usually...meh. I just like the setting, art style, story, characters, etc of western rpgs so much more than stuff like final fantasy, shin megami whatever (the video didn't look that good to my btw), and other japanese/asian rpgs. |

These are good rpgs no doubt, but not really what I am currently in the mood to play honestly. Has anybody played The Witcher? I'm wondering if I should try that? Like I said, what I am really looking for is a game with adult themes (and I don't just mean nudity and sex and crap). I don't want to say a more grown up game because that kinda makes it sound like all other rpgs are kiddy but, basically thats what I mean, a grown up game. An rpg like vampire, but a little less buggy and less crashes and whatnot, I don't mean it has to be vampires, but that same style of game. A dark and gritty setting and stuff like that.
