The easiest way to find a list of jackie chan movies is to got to imdb and just search jackie chan. it will list out his movies by year. Then you can watch em all!
I respect Jackie Chan, and find his movies entertaining, but don't you guys think his fight scenes look incredibly fake and scripted. By this I mean, it doesn't flow smoothly like a real fight would. It looks like you can see them 'counting' like you would a dancer. Each move is completed, a slight pause and then the next move. It's hard for me to explain what I mean, but I don't notice this with other martial artists in films like I do for Jacki Chan. Anyone know what I am saying? EDIT: not bashing jackie at all here... he is awesome. |

First, I want to point out that Jackie Chan is a famous singer in China. He has like over 15 albums, and sings the themes for a lot of his movies too. Anyways, Tony Jaa started out almost the same as Jackie as a stuntman and while he was doing that he gained interest in a martial arts. Though he did not master it, he was good at it. Same goes with Jackie Chan except that Jackie Chan know smuch more then 3 martial arts like Tony Jaa included in his main style; a mixture of Wing Chun, Hapkido and Judo, he's a greater fighter by ease. Years of practice and experience comes in a great hand here too. Tony Jaa is too young to master any martial arts, and no where near as experienced as Jackie. Jackie is a better actor, stunman, choreographer, director, singer, and martial artist then Tony Jaa.

What martial arts do you do? Cos I've done three kinds for about 16 years. So I'm wondering who you are to tell me who is and isn't better, or tell me ANYTHING about martial arts. If you knew anything about martial arts, you wouldn't be making the stupid decision as do say someone who is an expert in expo, show-off martial arts, is a better fighter than someone who is an expert in hardened combat fighting styles. I enjoyed Ong Bak more than I enjoyed any Jackie Chan movie besides Police Story, so stop going on like it's fact that he makes better movies, too.

Jackie Chan is awesome. His older stuff is much better his newer stuff and watching himself hurt himself in the outtakes is amusing. Tony Jaa has really good athleticism but like other people have said his training is more in combat arms rather than the more aesthetic ones.

Norrin rad.... You come into a Jackie Chan >>Fanboy<< thread and start laughing / mocking / calling BS on some stuff. Why? lol
But yeah i do like his movies, they're pretty funny though if I were looking for a serious martial arts kick ass movie i'd probably turn to jet li because they leave out the irrelevant stuff and just get on with the ass kickings =p |
