Default [Japanese] Monster Hunter Frontier Guide Thread

Alright, I'll be updating this page with guides later. Also, I'd like to say,
Don't post here unless you have guides or suggestions. If you're going to ask a question, ask it at the other thread or PM me but I don't help with registration for KR version.
http://www.onrpg.com/boards/77456.html

So far, there are guides for:
Registration
Applying for Trial
Errors
Server
Most Interfaces
Starting out
Blacksmith
How to search for where you need stuff
Other
Payment Guide

Registration

Applying for Trial

Errors

You need to apply for trial. (Image gotten from iEatPuppies and no I don't really eat puppies <_< What freak would?)

Either maintenance (like Masaka says) or VPN not on/working properly.

You need to set the time to japanese time. (Don't just set it back an hour, change the GMT thingy whatever XP) You may need to restart the launcher.

The problem is you've done something stupid =3 Do your god damn ID or/and password properly!

Server We're All (should be all anyways) On

Yes, it is in korean gibberish (no, I'm not saying korean is gibberish ) but you know where it is on the list.

I'd prefer everyone to be on the last tab since anyone can go there but remember the rooms only hold 4 people unlike the other servers so you decide.

Interface
I've missed quite a bit but I did the important ones anyways

Starting out

1.Where you start in the world, also you can switch coloured servers/channels from there
2.Go left alright?
3.Oh yea this is the search board, very useful

On the way, you should find this nice round table. This girl also quests including a weakened kutku (얀쿡) for you trial cheapos (Under HR10 only)

Okay, you should've found some stairs, press enter at it.

Should be like this, now let's make a new room.

1.The hunting guild (not a guild guild like TailWhip) where you get quests.
2.Entrance to your house, there is a box where you can change equipment and store items.
3.For you curious cats, that's where you go for HR30+ quests.

1.This way to the blacksmiths. That'll be a place you'll frequent to a lot. (Don't neglect your equip, you'll regret it)
2.This board is where you join other people's quests like a party.
3.She'll be giving you the quests for now until you pay. To actually go on the quest, press enter to her left, left of the small board. Also, don't forget every quest bellow HR30 has a supply box near the base.
4.On the very left, you'll find a pink girl, she sells supplies and a blue old man who gives quests for weekend events and HR quests. (When you can't seem to gain anymore exp)

When choosing quests, choose the highlighted one. Then she'll ask the location. The above option is the tutorial, don't need to do.

Blacksmith

When ever you get some new material, come back here to check if it unlocks any weapons/armours. Also, armours and weapons will have slots to put gems into which have skills. (Like fast eating, quicker sharpening, etc)

How to search for where you need stuff
http://spherelinks.com/greet/index.html
http://mhfo.wikiwiki.jp/?%C9%F0%B6%F...E9%A5%F3%A5%B9

Find the weapon you need here.

Okay, lets look for dragonite.

Put it in the search bar.

There, now you've got a list of all the link related to it on the site. Be careful, if the link says greet2 on it, it's talking about the PSP game.

Other

This board is used to search all rooms in the last tab of servers for the monster you're looking for. Just remember the japanese people might not actually be doing that monster but just marked their room that they are.

Okay, I just need to list the errors and fixes aswell as put in some ingame guides. There's already a VPN thread so I won't need to do anything on it.

PAYMENT GUIDE

IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE, I SUGGEST YOU THINK IT TWICE ! it is not as easy as you may expect it to be
DO NOT USE/COPY any of this images WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR CONSENT !

ok so this guide is only for those who wish to continue to play after completing the "trial"
some of us are clueless about the Japanese language, and sometimes text is not enough...
so I went ahead and took my time to make this for you guys...

to begin with lets understand Daletto a little bit,
-daletto works with "dp"I am guessing it stands for "Daletto Points"
-1 dp is worth 1 Japanese Yen...
-to play Monster Hunter Frontier Online you have 3 different options...
30 Days = 1400 dp
60 Days = 2660 dp
90 Days = 3780 dp
-1(one) US Dollar is worth about 100 Japanese Yens
-If you wish to have the 30 day plan, you need about 13.00 US Dollars
-If you wish to have the 60 Day plan, you need about 24.00 US Dollars(you get a slight discount)
-If you wish to have the 90 day plan, you need about 34.00 US Dollars(another slight discount)
-If your currency is other than US Dollars, go ahead and figure it on your own at
http://finance.yahoo.com/currency
-There is a $2 transaction fee since it is an international transaction

now, go to the Daletto website
www.daletto.com
go ahead and sign in and follow the instructions in the pictures, click where the red box indicates

this shows your current "dp", in this case, it is "0"

scroll down until you see the MH figure with 1400 plan or different if you wish

then select your payment method in my case it is Visa as shown (Mastercards must have a securesign/verisign online security) or your card will not process

Confirm that 1400 is what you want

put in your Credit Card info

continue and confirm

your payment has been made, if done correctly you should have 1400dp...
__________________________________________________ ____________________________

now to the following link to select the plan you want (in my case 1400)
First month is 980 if I am not mistaken (discounted)
http://www.daletto.com/pc/right?m=5&service=mhf

verify that it is 980

scroll down and agree

it will confirm and deduct 980/1400 I purchased
now you are good to go !
Credits to KidImposter for some details
you should have no problems if done correctly, do this at your own risk, and no one here is responsible for any mistakes you make.

Bump, I thought this "might" be useful for some people since there is a starter guide (sort of). If I'm asked, I'll improve the guide more and continue the starter guide.

Thank you so much for these guides, between this and a few more on these boards, I've been able to finally play this game. I love the monster hunter series a lot and I've been dying to play this. I've actually started to seriously learn Hiragana/Katana just to get an understanding and possibly learn full-blown japanese in the near future. I'm just curious because of the posting dates if there still remains a community of english-speaking players in MHFO because I was thinking about paying for an account. Everything in the trial is way too easy and it's not going to last me that long but I feel as though I would want a group of players to accompany me, and possibly a voice server. Once again thanks for your hard work, this is great!
