So you graduate on medical school, and when you reach level 30 on real life you realize you dont like being a doctor, and just change your profession to a engineer? o.O

Games try to get closest to real life as they can... once you reached a certain level you gotta pick up a job.

And the games that you already start with a job, most of em are stuck with races and faction.. so you gotta choose your faction first..

And thats why they explain what does every class do on their website, and you can search videos on youtube.

i had the same problem when i first played RO...then i solved the problem by switching to a p-server lol

Characters are completely customizable without any defined classes whatsoever. it's slow @ first but it gets better past level 10

Wow, nobody mentioned ultima?
Basicly, want to be mage? train magery (while your training it, you can lower your str and dex to up your int, same with skills) and all that, wear mage stuff, ta da!

Not all of them..if they did they would be much different..they do however try to incorporate real life things into them.
