Wow! I must say, I am very excited for this game, just as much as i am for Gears of War 2 and Animal Crossing Wii.

E3 2008: Sony Says 'Stand By For Tokyo Game Show'
"1Up: VP Scott Rohde discusses the FFXIII shocker, Sony's product strategy, and more. Whether you thought its press conference was the best of the bunch or were bored to tears by it, you'd be hard-pressed to deny that E3 week has been big for Sony in several ways. Among announcing a handful of new titles, showcasing several eagerly awaited ones, and losing one of their biggest third-party exclusives, the list of upcoming game releases for Sony is more important than ever. I had a chance to speak to Sony Vice President of Product Development Scott Rohde about the company's E3 showing alongside Sony PR manager Ron Eagle on Wednesday afternoon." http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3168895 woot, probably more information on white knight story, heavy rain, disgaia 3, and much more. ESPECIALLY TEAM ICO'S CURRENT PROJECT.

I'm so happy to see that these are the real graphics, no pre-rendered/CGI bullshit. Its awkward cause it actually looks like CGI. The game has this real..but deep sepia look. Also the in-motion/standstill blurs are great.
KZ2 already looks great. I'm actually kind of glad it got pushed back. Since it looks good now, Guerrilla has all year to make it even better.

"God of War 3 looking very close to CG teaser in terms of graphics" "In the latest HotSpot podcast -from GameSpot- , numerous sources reported that "the level of realism as far as the graphics go in God of War 3" looks very close to the CG teaser. They actually said it is looking like Beowulf the movie. The discussion lasts 59 minutes." http://www.gamespot.com/pages/featur...;picks;story;1 Now when the game actually released, it'll look like the CG or even better. Man I can't wait.

I still think there is a long way to go in graphical improvement in games.
heck just looks at the "Human Head" demo for Nvidia or the Medusa one.... "Human Head" computes 17 offscreen textures every frame totaling over 40 Million pixels, each shaded with lengthy pixel shaders. That's more than 1.2 billion pixels every second! |
