MMO similar to FFXI?

I played FFXI a few times at my friend's house, and I really got hooked on it. However, I couldn't get to play it because it's p2p, and I don't have money. I want to play an MMO that's similar to FFXI. I heard that 4story is a mix between WoW and FFXI, but I'm not sure if I want to play it because I also heard it lags badly. If there are any other free MMOs similar to FFXI please list them here.

none,

there is no mmo with the story telling like ffxi, there is no mmo, that matches the epic party play the game offers,

still, there is a game called dream of mirror online, it has something over it..

Atlantica Online is nothing like FFXI, first of all.

And Dream of Mirror Online is pretty much an FFXI rip-off.

Stole the sub-job system, even though it's not as good...

You can change your job in town at any time, each job has a different level...

Even the races are copied off of FFXI: Cat-girls (DOMO:Shura, FFXI: Mithra) cute midget people, (DOMO:Sprites, FFXI:Tarutaru) fat gorilla people (DOMO-Male Shura, FFXI:Galka)

Parties consist of six people, and partying it pretty much mandatory for quick EXP, which is also from FFXI.

There's probably more stuff, but! Yeah, try DOMO.
