This anime any good? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nabari_no_ou
My friend suggested it to me since I like bleach, but I'd like to hear other people's opinions. |

Right.. male protagonist with a girlish voice, and acting in a girlish way occasionally.
Not very action-packed, however at times are pretty cool with all those *cough* wickedly sick technique despite having the dialogue taking up a huge portion of the anime. It gives off a slight feel of Yaoi, and at times creeping me out with the man-goes-blushing-after-seeing-the-young-boy-acting-cute scenes. Till this point of time, I would rate it 5/10, while Naruto at 7.5/10, bleach at 5.5/10. I suppose the females will enjoy this series alot more than males, as I have known of fangirls.. going crazy over the "winged-devil". Last edited by Leviarel : 07-20-2008 at 12:31 PM. |

The rep became a consolation for me, one who guilty-ly watched 10 episodes of that series hoping for something awesome to happen. And all I have gotten, is the creepy blushes. |

Pfft, I cannot understand how you can give Naruto 7.5 and Nabari no Ou 5. Nabari no Ou is a lot nicer anime because it actually has a storyline and character development. I understand what you mean with the "yaoi feeling" but that was just like in the beginning, I haven't noticed anything like that past the the first couple of episodes. So basically this is the anime for you who want fillerless storyline and action. If you feel like you want fillers you can keep on watching Naruto and Bleach. |

You do have a point. Thanks for giving this chance to elaborate on the reason why I gave Naruto a 7.5 score. The reason - Comparing the current filler arc to the previous. 1) The action become more intense with the inclusion of Asuma (Yes, him. In the manga, he got involved in too little things, hence his death is rather insignificant since he wasn't really active while he was alive.) The anime has given him these opportunity to interact and create more memories/history for this particular character. When he gets his death in the anime, it will create more impact than it was in the manga. And what's this impact - the instance when readers like us knew about his death, how we would react, depress or even bursting into tears? 2) In this particular arc, they have done something we've never seen coming out from that anime before. The filler "bosses" are STRONG, since it is related to the 12 guardians who are renowned for their strength in various fields, one which was pointed out - lightning. This has given ample, potential, great development in the storyline, as well as Asuma. 3) Sora and his "counterpart" with the weird looking hairstyle has left us with mystery, and the other group managed to crash people of Jounin level(well, they looked as though so) or at the very least chuunin, within split seconds. Yes, that's how powerful those filler enemies are, in this current arc. A rather good 7.5 for Naruto Shippuuden, It really deserve it i.m.o. AND ***** I STILL HAVE MY ECONOMICS HOMEWORK DUE TOMORROW... Last edited by Leviarel : 07-20-2008 at 04:55 PM. |

I'm actually enjoying the current bleach filler arc actually
but maybe thats just because I read the manga. I read the naruto manga also but haven't watched anything passed where they met up with sasuke for the first time in shippuden, but now I will thanks for that info. As for Nabari No Ou I think I'll pass. I'm looking for something action packed like tenjho tenge(even tho half the anime was a flashback). |

Might also wanna check out Hajime no Ippo (812-816 just came out! YAY!), Eureka Seven (Romance + Action), Grappler Baki, s-CRY-ed, Berserk, Trigun, Fullmetal Alchemist, Outlaw Star, The Big O, YuYu Hakusho, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Air Gear, and Air Master. And if you feel like reading anything, check out the Korean Manhwa, Jack Frost. It's the meaning of "gore".
