This will probably be my only post(s) in this section as I don't watch a lot of anime, but I'm looking for something new to watch

I'm looking for animes that are interesting but also extremely bloody/gory..none of the wait 15 episodes for a fight to end stuff as well.

So far I liked :
Elfen lied
Hellsing (uncut only)
vampire hunter D (movie but still anime)
ghost in the shell was fairly good too (movie as well but still anime)
and recently I've been watching gantz but I'm almost done with the series (like on ep. 20 or something)

there anything else like these?

edit : sorry I forgot to say a more modern anime..I don't like the medieval type stuff.

Gungrave... Lot of people getting shot. Takes atleast 10 episodes to build up to it. & it's not going to be an excessive bloody mess like elfen lied which probably has the most blood/gore out of any anime.

I saw an anime on tv/encore where the main char loses his arm and maybe also his leg then he gets artificial limbz. Good part of it was when another char has a knife-ish type weapon attached to his finger and he stabs it into a guys eye and into his brain which kills him. Maybe someone can name it from that description?

Tenjou Tenge... lots of ecchi, fighting, a little blood. there's a section towards the end where a char murders people.

ill try to find more that would probably be more fitting to your request.

By the way, Elfen Lied is fan service with a weak plot.

If you don't mind reading, check out the Korean Manwha Jack Frost. It's gorey and action packed all the same.

Hellsing OVA's********** lol (there are 4 episodes of it currently and each 50minutes) very high quality looking anime.

then i gotto think for a while heh. wish there were more gory anime also that are good too.
