First off go into preferences > window > enable advanced window. Once you have that enabled you have to go through each person in the Hamachi server and right click, Advanced, and copy their Hamachi adress in the VPN alias slot, then replace the last digits with yours. i.e. their adress is xx.xxx.xx.XX. Replace the last digits after the last period with your last digits, whether they be more or less digits. You have to do this to every person who has to connect to your server, but only you because you'll be hosting.
You might have to forward some ports for certain games. http://portforward.com/routers.htm Some games, like Starcraft and much older games don't have much trouble getting a Hamachi game up. Some other games like Titan Quest will make you gouge your eyes out and the shit you have to go through. It's sort of hit and miss. If this still does not work out for you, go into your Network Connections and at the top, click Advanced, Advanced Setting and you'll get a window that looks like this: ![]() Pretend that the Remote Connections is Hamachi, so you click on Hamachi that should be there, and move it up using the button on the side. Make sure it is above your other connection. Last edited by TheJESTERJ; 07-24-2008 at 03:06 PM. |
