High-speed internet?

Well, I'm AT&T broadband DSL right now here at my dad's (at my mom's it's Comcast, which is good) and I'm trying to convince him to upgrade since it's kinda slow. I get like, 150kb/s on downloads and 200 at most. What's a reliable, fast (especially this one, olololl) ISP? I see that a few people here use Road Runner? Is that any good? Also, what's so special about FiOS?

Road Runner is very good if you dont have FiOS as an option. I have RR and max out at 600-700Kbps on most downloads. FiOS, their cables are made of Fiber Optic and its supposed to be about 10x faster but I don't know since we don't have it around here.

yea road runner is pretty quick ive never had fios personally but ive heard that its supposed to be good but i dunno id rather stick with cable internet

I'm dutch so cant tell you stuff, but we here in holland have VERY cheap internet, like 20bucks a month for 2mb's per second, currently I have 900kb/s wich is fast aswell but I have digital TV and the phone in the packet

I think he wanted to know what internet he should get not if your dutch and your internet is cheap.

On Topic: RoadRunner Turbo is pretty good, because so much people use road runner, you won't get alot of kbs.

I have Verizon Fios, it's probably the fastest out on the market =p

Comcast is about 40$ here for a (nearly) 12 MB connection.And its about 50$ for a 16MB connection.

I can't get Road Runner NOR FiOS here (San Jose, CA). D:

I guess I'll just opt for Comcast. ; -;
