It's also quite annoying cause it won't run on Firefox 3.0, just 2.0. You gotta open some random menu and add stuff just to install it, and there's still no guarentee it'll run right.

I have to agree, this news has been posted . . .

In fact, I was the one who posted the link to the CB sign-up page, and many people here, including myself, got into the first phase of beta.

Also, Dice are being very careful with their NDA, I know because they've warned me a couple times when I was disclosing stuff that one wouldn't think should be kept secret.


Anyway, try to remember to do a search next time, for your sake and ours.

This is kinda the point of a closed beta. Im pretty sure they are glad they have cheaters and the hitbox problem is great for them. Now when the final release comes out there wont be any cheaters because they know what to patch up and the hitbox problem is only a bug they will fix that also. What did you think a Closed beta was for?

I Really disagree with what you just said


They will never fix a Cheater problem on a F2P shooter


Even the greatest FPS counter strike has cheaters and they got a really good anti cheat system for a FPS(They need to update those hacks on weekly basis)



This game will never be Cheater free trust me

Is this so called greatest FPS CS or CS:S? It's relevant because CS is very old now. F2P as a term should not be taken literally. It's a business model just like any other. For it to succeed problems such as cheaters have to be dealt with just the same as on B2P or P2P shooters. An updated anti cheat program with a global ban (once banned on one server the IP and ID is banned on all servers) should do the trick well enough to not be a meaningful problem. Ofcourse combined with fixing the vulnerabilities in the game the cheaters are using.

ill give this game a shot at some point but i cant help but feel this is EAs sad excuse to try and take some of the TF fans, and the characters have absolutely none of the charm as the TF2 ones have imo


but hell, its free so ill try it, could be wrong and it could own TF2s face, but i doubt it

Just because a game has kinda similar graphics doesn't mean it's anything like TF2, they're completely different games. And if you really think they're similar then you've obviously never played TF2 or a Battlefield game.

yeah i have, was hardcore TF2 for aloooong time buddy which made me think it even more

i didnt say it was the same gameplay, not one bit, just was abit of a coincidence that TF2 was doing so well then EA comes out with that which looks to be a shoddy style in comparison
