If you are still having trouble logging in, try this:
1. Go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and choose your operating system from the list to update your Java. 2.I'm only saying this because this was actually a variable in my ability to play RuneScape when I first started to, make sure www.runescape.com is on your list of trusted sites. To add this site, go to Control Panel, and click Security Center. Next scroll down to the bottom and click Internet Options. Here, double-click on the big green box with the caption Trusted Sites. Click sites, and in the box, type https://www.runescape.com, and click the add button. 3. Create your RuneScape account on the RuneScape homepage, and be sure to write down your account name and password to be sure you don't forget. 4. Click the Play Now button on the RuneScape homepage, and choose low detail for now (you can use high detail later if you want). When choosing a world, make sure you select an F2P (Free to play) world. Try World 34. 5. After the login page is loaded, (provided it does), continue logging in and enjoy the game! If your problem persists, I recommend reading in the RuneScape Technical Support section of the site. |

You using sun or Microsoft Java Virtual Machine?
If you have Microsoft Java Virtual Machine thid link will show you how to remove it: http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/howto-21.html Then go to: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and install sun java. If you have sun java got to: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp And check with updates to see if you have he latest version. (When they released the HD version some of the upated to it and the old version require the latest version of sun java.) If neither of the two above help. Delete sun java from your system and re-install it. From: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp ALWAYS REMEMBER TO DELETE SUN JAVA BEFORE DOWNLOADING AND RE-INSTALLING IT. Sun java has a flaw if it has a corruption in it's files the new download will not overwrite the corrupted file or files. |
