It seems like it would be possible, I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and Wine 1.0
Wine can allow you to play Windows games on Linux and I believe Mac Operating Systems by adding a windows layer on top of your OS I've gotten through the patching screen, and got to the server selection window. The group and server names are shifted (not where they should show up) but I can still click on them, got to the login screen where I entered my username and password. So so far it seems like Linux users with wine could get this to work, here is the wine website http://www.winehq.org/ and the download page of all ubuntu versions of wine http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/index.html (I have gotten Metin 2 and AirRivals(Space Cowboy) to work on Linux (with a lot of help)) Since the servers are currently down, I will tell later if I can get online and have decent gameplay
