I don't think there's anything close to FLCL...it's a kind of its own.
If you mean batshit insane anime...there's a movie I think is pure crazy and has some wacky art-style: Dead Leaves. Maybe you'd like it

Agreed. Furi Curi really does belong in its own category... for now.

It's really hard to give you a suggestion just based on 'close to FLCL' because there really isn't anything close to FLCL!!!

I dunno, I guess you can watch Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei.
